One of the things I am very proud of with our law firm is the fact that our team members stick around. We have a strong camaraderie among everyone who works here; we all work very hard, but we do so as a team. We understand that within the four walls of our office, we must all get along and challenge each other, but we always work together to benefit our clients. I’ve been in this profession for almost 35 years, and I have employees who have been with me for over 20 years—one for over 28 years and another for over 24 years.
There are more stories like that. My law partner and I have been together at the firm for almost eight years. One of the things that make us unique is our ability to keep our team together. When a client comes into the office and starts working with a lawyer or a paralegal, they will have the same lawyer and paralegal at the end of their case too. This continuity prevents the type of interruptions that may occur at other firms with high turnover. This stability is good for the clients and us, allowing us to continue educating ourselves and becoming even more formidable in the work we do.
